Novx ESD instruments coupled with QFS sensors
May 1, 2006 — San Jose, Calif. — As electronic products and devices become more complex and their resulting geometries decline, reducing the cost of failed or damaged product requires a new approach. In order to address these increasing demands, Novx Corporation has entered into a strategic alliance with QUASAR Federal Systems (QFS) to form an exclusive agreement/joint technology development program. Together, they will create the first in a new generation of products designed for front-end semiconductor wafer handling, reticle and flat-panel processing, wafer charge monitoring in process tools, semiconductor device charge measurement, disk drive voltage detection and other similar applications.
Both companies will share best practices to blend QFS’ leading low frequency sensor technologies with Novx’s leading ESD monitoring technology. Combining the expertise of both organizations will allow the alliance to readily address customer requirements for ESC/ESD monitoring to maximize their process performance and meet time-to-market demands.
Novx is recognized as a world leader in ESC/ESD Monitoring Instrumentation for real-time process control. QFS, one of the world’s leading developers of low frequency electromagnetic sensors, holds unofficial performance bests for both electric field and magnetic field sensors. Combining these organizations will create a strong team committed to product development with customers’ needs in mind – compact, integrated sensing solutions with targeted outputs providing the information the client needs for factory control. About Novx
Novx founded in 1989, is a leading provider of workstation/process equipment monitors and process environment management solutions. The company provides products and services to the semiconductor, storage device, flat panel display, electronics manufacturing services, medical and many other industries.
Novx customers use its products and services to monitor electrostatic charge, and the process environment, thereby improving manufacturing yields, finished product quality, and manufacturing equipment performance. The shrinking geometries of today’s electronic devices place greater importance on knowing what is happening within your processes. Novx hardware and software solutions make this possible, reliable and affordable. Novx assists customers in achieving higher productivity levels by mitigating the adverse effects of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electrostatic Attraction (ESA) from the manufacturing environment. With the introduction of the Series 7000, communicating directly with PEMS, Novx can now supply the complete environment monitoring and control solution, thereby reducing scrap and improving product quality in any manufacturing environment.
