ON Semiconductor and Nantero to develop carbon nanotube technology jointly

May 25, 2006 — Nanotero and ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN) announced they have teamed up to develop innovative semiconductor process technology, continuing ongoing work to effectively integrate carbon nanotubes in CMOS fabrication. The joint development project is taking place at ON Semiconductor’s Gresham, Ore., manufacturing campus, which ON recently purchased from LSI Logic Corp.

Nantero uses carbon nanotubes for the development of next-generation semiconductor devices, including NRAM – a high-density nonvolatile random access storage device. ON Semiconductor supplies power solutions in the computer, cell phone, portable devices, automotive and industrial markets.
