Toppan Photomasks revolves CEO spot

May 22, 2006 – Marshall Turner, president and CEO of Toppan Photomasks Inc., has stepped down after three years at the helm, leaving to return to his venture investment business. Ltd. David Murray, currently EVP of worldwide operations, will succeed Turner, and take his spot on the company’s board of directors.

Katsuhiro Kinemura is being promoted to fill Murray’s job, while Michael Hadsell, currently VP and GM of the company’s Asia-Pacific business, will be promoted to a new position of EVP of worldwide sales.

Turner joined Toppan Photomask’s executive ranks in 2003, and returned the company to profitability and oversaw its recent merger with Japan’s Toppan Printing Co. Murray has held a number of executive-level roles in his 20 years at the company, including operations, engineering, quality, supply-chain management, materials and asset management.

Kinemura is currently a senior GM at Toppan Printing, with 16 years experience in Toppan’s photomask business, including four years as president of Toppan Chungwa Electronics, a photomask joint venture company in Taiwan. Hadsell has nearly two decades experience with DuPont Photomasks and Toppan Photomasks, spending the last seven years in operations and sales assignments in the Asia Pacific, including overseeing the construction and start-up of the company’s Singapore facility.
