Japan’s Inspec readies for IPO

June 1, 2006 – Inspec Inc., a Japanese maker of semiconductor inspection equipment, has set a tentative IPO price range of 500,000-550,000 yen (roughly US $4459-$4905) for its initial public offering of 2400 shares, scheduled to commence on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on June 21, noted the Nihon Keizai Shimbun.

At that range, the shares will have a price/earnings ratio of 26.8x-29.5x earnings, based on the company’s projected earnings/share of 18,673.45 yen ($166.52) for its fiscal year ending April 2007.
