Journal of the IEST increases frequency of publication

July 19, 2006 — /IEST/ — ROLLING MEADOWS, IL — The October 2006 issue of the Journal of the IEST, official technical publication of the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST), will be the second issue published this year.

“The quality and quantity of the technical papers submitted for review have enabled the semiannual publication of the Journal,” said Julie Kendrick, Executive Director.

The July issue of the online Journal, available now, commemorates 25 years of Space Shuttle missions and the Columbia story. A peer-reviewed paper and an article discuss different testing programs involved in the Columbia accident investigation. Other papers in the July issue address the operation performance of a minienvironment system, enveloping the shock response spectrum, multicomponent organic compounds adsorption/desorption model, monopole impulse noise, QFD matrix analysis, and ISO cleanroom standards.

Visitors to http://www.iest.org/journal/journal.htm have unrestricted access to TechTalk articles and full-text abstracts of the peer-reviewed technical papers. IEST members and Journal subscribers have complete access to technical papers in the current issue as well as a 10-year archive of papers and articles. Others have the option to purchase individual, complete papers.

For almost 50 years, the Journal has been the premier provider of technical information published in a quality format for professionals in the environmental sciences specializing in design, test, and evaluation; product reliability; and contamination control.
