Fujitsu’s mobile WiMAX integrated one-chip media access control (MAC) and physical layer (PHY) mixed-signal baseband system-on-chip (SoC) suits PC cards and mobile devices. Designed using 90-nm process technology, the SoC includes scalable 1024 fast fourier transform (FFT), orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDMA) PHY and full MAC processors, adaptive modulation schemes, interface for MIMO RF modules, low-leakage process technology, and a small-footprint FBGA package.
Avago Technologies introduced a higher-resolution option, AEDR-8300-1Wx, to its series of reflective optical encoders containing an emitter and detector in one package. The encoder offers 8.35 lines per mm (212 lines per inch [LPI]), higher-maximum-count frequency at 60 kHz, and operation based on a single 3.3 – 5-V supply. Appropriate applications include office automation, consumer, and industrial automation areas, such as printers, scanners, cameras, refrigerators, and miniature motors. The encoder features a RoHs-compliant, surface mount, 5.12
