STS Develops 300-mm DRIE Plasma Source

(September 12, 2006) TAIPEI, Taiwan &#151 Surface Technology Systems (STS) developed a deep reactive ion etch (DRIE) plasma source compatible with 300-mm wafers. The 300-mm platform is founded on the technology in the company’s Pegasus DRIE source, released for MEMS customers in 2005.
