Teradyne chairman Chamillard stepping down

November 10, 2006 – George Chamillard, chairman of Teradyne Inc., is resigning by the end of next month, to be replaced by fellow director Patricia Wolpert. Chamillard, a 35-year veteran at Teradyne, was CEO from 1997-2004, and elected chairman in 2000. He chaired SEMI from July 2003-July 2004, and is a current director of SEMI as well as Mercury Computer Systems Inc.

“In both his management career and his term on the Board, George has provided leadership in a period of tremendous change for the industry and the company,” said Michael Bradley, Teradyne’s president and CEO. “He has been instrumental in the company’s growth and success, and his experience and perspective will be missed.”

Wolpert, a Teradyne board member since 1996, retired from IBM after three decades in various senior executive positions. She also sits on the board of Lam Research Corp.
