BOC recasts “fix and flex” service plan

February 21, 2007 – BOC Edwards, a supplier of vacuum, abatement, chemical management equipment and services, has launched a new “Fix and Flex” service and repair program for US-based customers, as a repair option for turbomolecular vacuum pumps and chillers.

The “Fix” repair option sets a fixed price for repairing within a defined scope of work, to let customers pre-plan service costs. The “Flex” plan offers a basic repair price for the most essential (basic/minimal) repair needs of the equipment, and advises in advance of any additional components and associated costs.

“FIX & FLEX allows our customers to select the repair option that best suits their needs,” said Butch Paddock, VP service, BOC Edwards, in a statement. “It helps them to maximize the reliability and efficiency of their equipment.”
