July 19, 2007 — MENLO, GA — More than 200,000 gloves with the distinctive DuPont Kevlar(R) mark have rolled off the Best Manufacturing Company production line since the two companies teamed up earlier this year to provide cut-resistant hand and arm protection for the world’s workforce.
Speaking from the Best plant in Menlo, GA, Best Manufacturing’s director of sales and marketing Tom Eggleston, said, “We are extremely proud of the fact that we have succeeded in incorporating the Kevlar cut-resistant fiber into our U.S.-manufactured products. By pairing our coating technology with DuPont’s cut-resistant Kevlar(R) fiber technology we are producing truly superior cut-resistant gloves and sleeves available to the workforce right now.”
Best, a leading U.S. manufacturer of hand and arm protection, currently has more than 16 cut-resistant hand/arm protection products in its line. The cut-resistant Zorbit(R) Ultimate, a popular Best glove, is among the products that now include Kevlar fiber. The company also manufactures chemical-resistant, disposable, general purpose, and specialty gloves, which are worn in workplaces around the globe.
