December 10, 2007 – Taiwan’s top two foundries both posted November sales that were below October, but slightly ahead of last year’s pace.
TSMC said unconsolidated sales in November were about $930M, down 5% from October but up 22% from a year ago. Year-to-date, TSMC’s sales are down about 2.4%.
UMC, meanwhile, said November sales slid nearly 11% M-M to roughly $279M, but were up nearly 4% from Nov. 2006. YTD sales at the foundry totaled about $3.04B, or 2.7% above the same pace a year ago.
