January 30, 2008 — Colibrys has announced that its inertial, vibration and tilt sensors have been certified for safety critical railway applications by the CENELEC (European center for electronic and electro-technique normalization).

“Colibrys MEMS capacitive accelerometers are already recognized for their high reliability in harsh environment applications in the aerospace, military and transportation markets,” said Jean-Michel Stauffer, marketing and sales director at Colibrys. “This new level of certification expands our product offerings into these very demanding markets and opens up many new opportunities in the railway technology business”
