Ibis hires investment bank, mulls sale

Feb. 28, 2008 – SOI implant tool vendor Ibis Technology says it has hired investment bank BlueLake Partners to help it assess strategic alternatives, including a potential partial or full sale, though the company stressed it has not made any decision or timeline for one.

“We expect to analyze a number of potential strategic paths with the benefit of expertise provided by BlueLake Partners,” said Martin Reid, in a statement.

Reid reassumed some CEO duties after the unexpected passing of Charles McKenna on Nov. 2.
