UV Curable Polymer System

The UV10SP-2A one-component, flexible, UV curable polymer system for bonding, sealing, and coating is a 100% reactive, moderate viscosity liquid at ambient temperatures that does not contain any solvents or other volatiles. When exposed to a UV light source, the system cures as a durable, tough, non-yellowing system that can be used as an adhesive, sealant, and coating. Maximum absorption of UV energy takes place in the 250–365-nm range. The cured coatings, adhesives and sealants can be used over the temperature range from -60 to +250°F. Unlike many other commercially available UV curing products, the UV10SP-2A is not oxygen-inhibited and exhibits a fast curing rate at ambient temperatures even in the presence of air. The system can be cured in section thicknesses of up to 1/8 inch deep. The UV10SP-2A is a reworkable compound. As it is readily attacked by most solvents, it is good for those applications where the cured polymer must be easily removable. Master Bond, Hackensack, NJ; www.masterbond.com.
