Battelle hires Jonnalagadda to develop innovative nanotechnology

November 5, 2008: Battelle, a global independent research and development organization, has hired Krishna Jonnalagadda as director of business development, nanotechnology. Among his activities will be nanotechnology strategy development in collaboration with the national laboratories Battelle manages or co-manages.

“We are pleased to have Krishna join our team,” said Spencer Pugh, VP of industrial and international markets. “His expertise will help Battelle grow its advanced materials and nanotechnology business.”

Jonnalagadda has a Ph.D in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He has more than 20 patents pending and numerous publications in academic journals and conference proceedings, and is also an associate editor for the IEEE-CPMT Journal.

Prior to joining Battelle, Jonnalagadda spent more than 10 years at Motorola, most recently as director of engineering for accessory products. Jonnalagadda drove innovative business development at Motorola for several high-impact areas including printed electronics, nanotechnology, wireless health monitoring, and low power distributed sensor networks.
