Catalyx Nanotech to generate energy from landfills

January 20, 2009: Nanomaterials firm Catalyx Nanotech Inc. will partner with environmental consulting firm Dudek on building new facilities in southern California that will convert methane gas into green hydrogen, according to a report in Biomass Magazine.

According to the report, Catalyx Nanotech’s technology sequesters carbon into a high-purity graphite, with the potential to convert methane in landfills into energy.

Catalyx Nanotech expects to establish its first sites in southern California within the year, and then expand to other regions, the magazine said.
