Dolomite expands microfluidic capabilities

January 21, 2009: Dolomite, a microfluidics company, has introduced a new range of microfluidic valves and pumps that can be used in subsystems or built into fully integrated systems, the company announced in a news release.

The new range of solenoid valves and metering pumps offer the ability to provide very precise fluid control while maintaining a small overall system size, the release said.

The product’s low dead volume also make the valves ideal for integration with Dolomite’s microfluidic chips, according to the company.

Dolomite specializes in custom devices and complete instrument design allowing smaller, faster, cost-effective and more powerful systems to be developed, the company said.
