Kirkpatrick has an extensive background in targeted small molecule cancer drug development, and has brought three agents from bench to bedside. She was co-founder of ProlX Pharmaceuticals and its CEO from 1999 until its 2006 acquisition by Biomira Inc.. From 2006 through 2008 she was CSO of the merged company, which changed its name to Oncothyreon Inc. in 2007.
January 6, 2009: Through an aggressive environmental restoration effort in South Bend, IN, the 83 acres southeast of Sample and Chapin streets is set to become home to a portion of Indiana’s first two-site State-Certified Technology Park. The other site, Innovation Park at Notre Dame, is currently under construction on 12 acres along Edison Road across from the University of Notre Dame campus.
