GLOBALFOUNDRIES uses Intermolecular combinatorial method to improve wafer fab

July 13, 2011 — GLOBALFOUNDRIES will use Intermolecular’s High Productivity Combinatorial technology on research and development of its next-generation and mature semiconductor manufacturing lines.

The companies signed a multiyear Collaborative Development Program (CDP) and intellectual property (IP) licensing agreement, wherein GLOBALFOUNDRIES will use Intermolecular’s High Productivity Combinatorial (HPC) technology to create process modules that will be integrated into GLOBALFOUNDRIES manufacturing lines globally.
