Jenoptik femtosecond laser suits semiconductor, PV ablation steps

July 5, 2011 — Femtosecond laser JenLas D2.fs debuted in the Jenoptik laser range, from the company’s Lasers & Material Processing Division. It can be used to ablate thin layers from semiconductor wafers and remove dielectric layers on photovoltaic solar cells, and perform other materials processing that requires minimal heat effects.

The JenLas D2.fs is based on diode-pumped disk laser technology with an extended working temperature range of 15
