NXP Semiconductor supplier awards

September 2, 2011 – Marketwire — NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ:NXPI) began a "Best Supplier" awards program, recognizing its best front-end and back-end materials and equipment suppliers, as well as best supplier of indirect materials or services and best supplier quality.

Awards were presented at the company’s Supplier Day before 90 suppliers from 17 countries.

Other major semiconductor companies like Intel and STATS ChipPAC also present annual supplier awards.

NXP presented awards to its best performing suppliers:

  • Best Supplier Front End Materials & Equipment: Soitec SA, supplier of SOI wafers.
  • Best Supplier Back End Materials & Equipment: Tanaka Kikinzoku International, supplier of bonding wires.
  • Best Supplier Indirect Materials and Services: Tata Consultancy Services, provider of IT solutions and services.
  • Best Supplier Quality: Compugraphics International Ltd, provider of photomasks.

NXP was pleased with its first ever Best Supplier Awards, and will continue to build its Strategic Supplier Relationship Management activities, said Jacky McNulty-Ehemann, senior vice president and chief procurement officer, NXP Semiconductors.

The supplier event also allowed NXP and the company’s top suppliers to align core business strategies and roadmaps for high-performance mixed signal and standard products, as well as end customer markets.
