Semi-Gas uncrates gas mixture automation system

September 20, 2012 – Semi-Gas Systems (a division of Applied Energy Systems), a maker of ultrahigh-purity gas source and distribution systems, is now offering an automatic gas sampling system that eliminates operator touch time while certifying cylinders of blended gas mixtures

The Samplex gas sampling system, part of the company’s Xturion product line, confirms the accuracy of constituent gases within a gas mixture, enables batch analysis, and can display up to six samples. The system is capable of comparative ratio analysis in parts per million (PPM) and parts per billion (PPB) of multiple gases. Reports and sample certificates are automatically generated.

The system is designed to integrate seamlessly with an MKS MultiGas FTIR analyzer. It comes with a workstation PC with LabView interface and a color touchscreen controller, and a wireless bar code scanner for cylinder identification. Ethernet communications are also available.

The system is particularly suited for EPA protocol analysis and for gas suppliers and gas companies that make EPA-approved blended mixtures, the company claims.
