ams reaches out to Chinese engineering community with new micro-site

ams AG, a provider of high performance analog ICs and sensors, has launched a new micro-site in China in an initiative designed to provide a more direct channel for communication with China’s one million-strong electronic design and engineering community. The new micro-site will be hosted by EEFocus.com, a popular semiconductor industry portal, and will complement ams’ existing Chinese website. The platform will host highly audience-specific content, including ams news, corporate information, datasheets, application notes and technical articles, among other resources.

To commemorate the launch of the micro-site and to enable ams to learn more about the needs of its users, those registering with the site will be encouraged to complete a short survey asking them for information on their perceptions of ams and its product portolio. Those who complete the survey will automatically be entered into a lucky draw, and 60 randomly-selected winners will receive a free demo kit.

“The launch of this micro-site represents an exciting development for ams China, as it provides us with a more direct, interactive channel to engage with China’s engineering community – a vitally important audience in one of our most mission-critical markets,” said Laurence Zhang, Country Manager, China, ams. “As a leading global expert in sensors, we aim to build the micro-site into a repository of highly specialised reference information that will be a rich and useful resource for those who want to learn more about ams’ sophisticated solutions.”

ams growing presence in China includes offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou and Hong Kong. The new micro-site marks ams’ determination to strengthen its ties to China and the growing importance of China to the company’s global business even further.
