11/22/2002  Intel Capital, along with others, has invested $10 million in MEMS manufacturer Colibrys. Its fastest growing market at the moment is aerospace and military. These customers are ordering inertial navigation systems and accelerometers, which have to be robust enough to withstand the shock of a missile launch, but sensitive enough to do the job once the system is in flight.

JSR Micro Group completes Belgian facility

11/20/2002  Nov. 20, 2002 -- Leuven, Belgium -- JSR Micro NV, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tokyo-based JSR Corp., has completed construction of its newest semiconductor materials manufacturing facility in Leuven, Belgium. The facility represents an investment of 2.5 billion yen (approximately US$21 million) and is scheduled to begin production by year's end.

Oxford Biosensors closes second round
