MRS Fall Meeting Nods to Nano

The scope of subjects and technical disciplines was challenging: 41 multi-day symposia on a wide range of topics; 245 technical sessions, beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing through evening, some until 11 p.m.; more than 4,000 technical presentations in five days.

11/30/2006  November 30, 2006 - Sumco Corp. plans to raise up to 59.7 billion yen (about US $50.8 million) by issuing new shares, in order to boost production of 300mm wafers, according to Japanese press reports.
