Brooks Automation gets 300mm sorter technology order

Chelmsford, Massachusetts–Brooks Automation Inc., a provider of tool and automation solutions, has received a multi-million dollar order for its 300mm sorter technology from an unidentified fab located in Dresden, Germany.

“By combining the knowledge of our newly acquired sorter business unit, Irvine Optical, with our best-in-class robotics and the mini-environment and 300mm FOUP load port module experience of our factory interface unit in Jena, Germany, we have unified the best of Brooks to provide this leading semiconductor company with the world’s best sorter solution,” says Michael Pippins, Brooks’ senior vice president.
