AvantCom Adds FabCentric Yield Management to Off-Site Access Group

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Aug. 10, 2000—AvantCom Network Inc. has brought FabCentric into its fold, allowing that company to make its yield management software compatible with AvantCom's network infrastructure. Accessing software on the network rather than running it locally eliminates the necessity of local hardware, which lowers equipment costs and improves manufacturing effectiveness, says AvantCom.
