MEMGen changes name

September 2, 2003 – MEMGen, Burbank, CA, has changed its name to Microfabrica, in order to more clearly define what the company does.

“We are not a MEMS company as commonly defined in the industry,” stated company president and CEO Vacit Arat.

Microfabrica’s technology extends beyond silicon-based microdevices built using semiconductor manufacturing techniques, he explained, “and we want our company name to reflect that.”
