December 1, 2003 – Singapore’s Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. has raised its outlook for 4Q03, thanks to increased demand from communications customers. Revenues are now projected to be $232 million, up 25% sequentially and 85% year-on-year, and 5% above earlier predictions. A projected net loss of $44 million compares with earlier estimates of $50 million, and a 3Q03 net loss of $76 million.
