Photon Dynamics names new CEO, quits business line

Jan. 29, 2003 – San Jose, CA – Photon Dynamics Inc., a maker of electronics testing equipment, said its CEO had resigned and it named Elwood Spedden, a member of its board, to replace him. Additionally, the company has decided to quit one of its business lines.

Photon Dynamics plans to get out of the printed circuit board assembly inspection market to focus on FPDs.
