Feb. 21, 2002 – Santa Clara, CA – Intel Corp. has named Douglas Busch and Sandra Morris each as chief information officers, making them the first CIOs in the company’s history.

Busch and Morris report to Andy Bryant, Intel’s chief financial and enterprise services officer, and will jointly coordinate Intel’s IT solutions and the company’s efforts to be a 100% e-Corporation.

Busch joined Intel in 1987 and has held a variety of technical and management positions in manufacturing, logistics, and IT. Since 1999 he has been director of IT, where he was responsible for delivering IT solutions to more than 83,000 employees based in more than 70 countries. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio State U.

Morris joined Intel in 1985 and has held marketing and management positions in e-Business and Intel’s personal computer-related businesses. Since 1997 she has overseen Intel’s use of the Internet for e-Business with customers and suppliers, and was responsible for leading Intel to be a 100% e-Corporation. Morris has a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in human resources from the U. of Delaware.
