Daw Technologies establishes operations in Guadalajara, Mexico

Jan. 2, 2002 – Salt Lake City, UT – Daw Technologies Inc., provider of ultra-clean manufacturing environments, has established a new subsidiary business unit, Daw Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. in Guadalajara, Mexico. The company has hired Jose de Jesus C?res G. to manage the new business unit.

Daw’s presence in Mexico will also provide the company with a direct link into Central and South America.

“Our expansion into Mexico presents a unique opportunity to offer our products and services to a large base of microelectronics and pharmaceutical companies that make their home in Guadalajara,” said Brent Lundevall, president of Daw Technologies, North America Construction Group. “The decision to enter Mexico has been met with positive support from many of these companies in Guadalajara. We are committed to establishing a solid foundation of business in Mexico that can also serve as a springboard for additional opportunities into Central and South America.”

In addition to its core focus on the design, engineering, and installation of cleanroom facilities, Daw Mexico will offer its customers a full range of sustaining facilities services, facilities management and assessment, as well as maintenance support for companies in a variety of manufacturing industries. Daw Mexico has established partnerships with North American and Mexican companies to provide advanced mechanical HVAC and filtration components, as well as additional construction services to the area.

Most recently, C?res was responsible for all facilities for ON Semiconductor in Guadalajara, which included a 6-inch wafer fabrication facility originally owned by Motorola.
