Novellus plucks ex-Applied exec

January 26, 2004 – Novellus Systems Inc., San Jose, CA, has named Sasson Somekh as its new president, to oversee the company’s product line business units and new product development. SSomekh left Applied Materials in August 2003 as executive VP, responsible for the company’s product roadmap and its new business and products groups.
