NXP shuffles mfg execs

December 4, 2007 – Ajit Manocha, chief manufacturing officer of NXP Semiconductors (nee the chipmaking business of Royal Philips), is leaving the company to return to the US “for personal reasons,” though he will continue to advise NXP in areas such as its asset-light manufacturing strategy, according to the company.

Hein van der Zeeuw, currently head of NXP’s multimarket semiconductors business unit, will be promoted to the new role of “chief operations” responsible for integral supply chain management, purchasing, front- and back-end manufacturing, and “business excellence.”

Alexander Everke, SVP/GM of NXP’s business line power management, will move to the multimarket unit to fill the void.
