March 5, 2012 — TSMC (NYSE:TSM) named 3 co-chief operating officers at a special meeting of the foundry’s Board of Directors. SVP of R&D Dr. Shang-yi Chiang, SVP of operations Dr. Mark Liu, and SVP of business development Dr. C.C. Wei are all now EVPs and co-COOs of the semiconductor foundry company.
All three executives, along with TSMC’s Finance and Legal organizations, will report directly to Chairman and CEO Dr. Morris Chang. All other organizations will report to the three co-COOs. The new organizational structure will take effect on March 5, 2012.
