NORWALK, CONN. – An all-new Technology Advancement Center (TAC) line, an expanded technical conference and many special events are among the highlights of NEPCON West 2000, which will be held at the Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif. More than 700 companies will exhibit, representing all sectors of electronics manufacturing from design through test.
The TAC line will include five newly designed and developed assembly lines displaying state-of-the-art technology in equipment. Among the five will be a lead-free process and the assembly of fully functional, live printed circuit boards using a solder alternative process. At the technical sessions, more than 100 papers will be presented by experts in seven technologies: design, assembly, packaging, high-density interconnect, management, contract manufacturing and test/inspection.
