(April 3, 2007) PITTSBURGH — Bruce McWilliams, chairman, president, and CEO of Tessera Technologies, along with his wife Astrid, donated more than $1 million to the Carnegie Mellon College of Science, as seed funding for the Astrid and Bruce McWilliams Fellowship, supporting graduate students conducting research in nanotechnology, biophysics, and other emerging fields. Bruce McWilliams holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in physics from Carnegie Mellon, and serves on the physics department advisory board.
