(June 14, 2007) SUNNYVALE, CA — Test-equipment supplier Test Enterprises expanded its sales and support throughout Asia by opening TEST Inc. Asia, a wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to direct sales and service support for the group of Test Enterprises companies. These include Thermonics Inc., with a line of precision temperature forcing systems; and FETtest, with discrete and analog/mixed signal semiconductor test systems.
TEST Inc. Asia will support customers in the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. It will also support distributors throughout the China and Taiwan regions. Thermonics and FETtest both see approximately 40% of total business coming from Asia, according to company representatives. This business is expected to continue growing, justifying a subsidiary to assist local representatives. “The growth in Asia-Pacific countries will continue into the foreseeable future. China in particular will see above-average growth, while countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines may have below-average growth,” explained Jim Kufis, president, Test Inc. Asia.
