The OSAT Industry from Amkor’s Perspective

At a Global Technology Conference held in December 2007, Amkor, a leading provider of outsourced semiconductor assembly and test services, had lots to say to the industry at large and specifically to investors. The OSAT industry is projected to represent 49% of the total assembly and test market by 2011. In 2006 the OSAT market stood at $19.2 billion, which is projected to grow to $33.5 billion by 2011, a 12% CAGR. The total assembly and test market stood at $44 billion in 2006 and is projected to grow to $68.5 billion, an 8% CAGR (source: Gartner/Dataquest).

(January 10, 2008) MIGDAL HA’EMEK, Israel — Camtek Ltd. has announced that it has sold two Falcon wafer inspection systems to Samsung Electronics Co. The two systems were installed at Samsung’s test facility in Korea during the fourth quarter of 2007, following a competitive evaluation.
