First presented in 2000, the Bob Graham Award acknowledges those who have created and/or implemented marketing programs that enhance customer satisfaction and further the growth of the semiconductor equipment and materials industry. The award’s namesake, the late Bob Graham, played an instrumental role in the growth of some of the industry’s biggest companies, including Applied Materials and Novellus Systems.

(SAN JOSE BUSINESS JOURNAL, July 26, 2004) Raleigh, N.C.&#8212Americans generally view nanotechnology in a positive light, although they admittedly know little to nothing about this emerging science, according to a recent survey conducted by North Carolina State University researchers. More than 80 percent of those polled indicated that they had heard “little” or “nothing” about nanotechnology, yet 40 percent of respondents predicted nanotechnology would produce more benefits than risks. Another 38 percent believed risks and benefits of nanotechnology would be about equal, and only 22 percent said the risks outweigh the benefits.
