Hisert, new to Indium, recently worked as a mechanical engineer at Fiber Instrument Sales in Oriskany, N.Y., where he designed and patented a new fiberoptic sensor. In his new role, he will focus on developing and supporting Indium’s semiconductor assembly products. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Institute of Technology.
(September 7, 2005) San Jose, Calif. — Worldwide sales of semiconductors rose to $18.01 billion in July, a 0.3% increase from the $17.96 billion reported in June, and a 0.03% decline from July 2004 sales of $18.02 billion, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reports.
