Carsem Offers Remote Access Test Development

Now, customers can work remotely with the Carsem factory staff in performing test program development efforts and product engineering support on a wide variety of tester platforms, including Credence, Eagle, LTX, and Teradyne systems. It also gives the ability to achieve a collaborative effort to resolve device-specific test issues on a real-time basis, significantly improving time-to-market and reducing cycle times. In addition, Carsem recently established a dedicated test development lab at their S-site, which currently has a Credence ASL-1000 tester, but will grow over time to include many ATE systems based on customer demand.

(January 24, 2005) Palo Alto, Calif., and Seoul, Korea &#8212 Agilent Technologies and Wavics announce an agreement for Agilent to acquire Wavics, a Korean-based designer and manufacturer of power amplifier modules for the worldwide mobile handset market. Wavics’ patented technology is reportedly expected to strengthen Agilent’s leadership in power amplifiers and front-end modules, and enable customers to design smaller handsets with more features and extended talk time.
