IEST publishes new recommended practice on minienvironments

SEPT. 6–ROLLING MEADOWS, IL–The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST), has published a new contamination control recommended practice (RP)–IEST-RP-CC028.1, Minienvironments.

The document provides a framework for describing
minienvironments for microelectronics and similar applications. This new RP discusses applications, planning, design and evaluation in detail.

It is intended to stimulate discussion of specifications and configurations for a specified application between the supplier and customer. This RP does not address microbiological issues or applications.

IEST-RP-CC028.1 is available exclusively from the IEST, www.iest.org, an international professional organization serving members and industries through education and the development of recommended practices and standards.
