April 11, 2002 — Jena, Germany — Jenoptik subsidiary, M+W Zander landed an order to engineer and construct a new center for Siemens in Singapore.
The project is valued at approximately 30m euros (US$26.4 million), M+W will be responsible for planning and engineering the facility.
The new Siemens Center is slated for completion by Spring 2003 and will total some 17,400 square meters. The center will house research labs, production and exhibition rooms, as well as offices and seminar rooms.
M+W Zander will equip the center with state-of-the-art facilities, including the latest in energy conservation technology and an intelligent lighting system will make optimal use of daylight illumination, according to a company release.
