Fluorodyne II pharmaceutical-grade filter has been introduced by Pall Ultrafiltration Co. for sterile filtration of a wide range of liquids including ophthalmics and dilute protein solutions, hot water, chemicals and solvents.

Pall`s proprietary water-wettable polyvinylidene (PVDF) double-layer membrane has a broad chemical compatibility, high-temperature rating, long-steam life, and bacterial removal efficiency.

These absolute-rated 0.2-micron filters are easily wetted for integrity testing and offer high flow rates.

Because of the high flow rates and low pressure drop of the filters, smaller filtration systems can be used. Fluorodyne II filter cartridges have been validated by bacterial challenge and 100 percent integrity tested by the Forward Flow Method to ensure their efficacy as sterilizing grade filters.

Production filter cartridges are sampled and routinely tested by the bacterial challenge test. Samples from every batch are tested for oxidizable substances, endotoxins, particulates and pH shift per USP methodology.
