Electronic fab site data
Information on more than 700 international wafer fabrication sites currently in operation or in the planning and construction phase, as well as more than 450 R&D and pilot-line fab locations, is now available in electronic format from Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI). SEMI has a worldwide license to market the database called “International Fabs on Disk,” from its developers, Strategic Marketing Associates (SMA).
The database, delivered on a 3.5-in. high-density diskette and formatted for Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows, is organized into five geographic regions: North America; Europe; Japan; Asia/Pacific (Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China); and all other regions. For each fabrication line, the data furnished includes company name, city/state, prefecture or province, country, fab name, fab type, production start year, products processed, technology type, minimum geometry, capacity in wafers per month and wafer size.
It costs $695 for SEMI corporate members, 25 percent additional for nonSEMI members.
