High pressure pumps
Watson-Marlow is offering its 800 series sanitary, peristaltic pumps with clean-in-place, steam-in-place and positive displacement pumping capabilities up to 100 psi. The new series of pumps incorporate peristaltic design for contamination-free, low-shear pumping with no maintenance requirements, according to the company.
The pumps use USP-22 Class VI Bioprene tubing. The tubing is offered in two tube bore sizes to allow maximum flow rates of 8.8 and 35 gal/minute. The tube is loaded into the pumphead through a hinged door and is held in place by two sanitary clamps. Platinum-cured silicone tubing is available and can handle up to 30 psi discharge pressure for the 825 model. The 800 series pumphead uses a roller mechanism where the rollers can retract for CIP and SIP. The frame rollers and hardware are stainless steel and casing has a baked-on epoxy powder white finish.
