NDigital ultrasonic cleaning generator

Ney Ultrasonics has developed 72-kHz high frequency models of the sweepSonik2 generator line for keeping substrates clean. The new generator provides the ultrasonic activity to remove submicron size particles without imparting the damage that lower frequencies can induce on sensitive component surfaces. As frequency increases in an ultrasonically active system, the number of cavitations increase and the energy in each cavitation decreases. Therefore, higher frequencies provide a more thorough energy distribution in a less aggressive ultrasonic field. The sweepSonik can be used for non-destructive cleaning action for disk drive heads, electronics, magnetic components and front-end steps during semiconductor manufacturing.
