Using a new technology to reduce the weight of HEPA filters for industrial respirators, Moldex-Metric`s 8800 Series HEPA disks can be used for standalone applications or “piggybacked” with gas/vapor cartridges. The disks make it possible for half-mask respirators to weigh less. In addition, the 8800 Series disks do not have a plastic casing and are fiberglass-free. The disks can be used with a variety of applications including chemical processing, enzyme processing, granulating, compressing, and encapsulating.

The Moldex 8800 Series Facepiece can be used with the 8800 HEPA Series disks and Moldex gas/vapor cartridges. The facepiece is soft and conforms to facial contours. The gas/vapor cartridges feature built-in inhalation valves. Every time a cartridge is changed, the user receives a new valve.
