Automated chemical waste collection
Semco?s Model ChemTech 2001 automation waste handling, is designed to reduce traffic in and out of the cleanroom by eliminating manual transport of chemical containers. Each system uses digital scales to monitor waste volume in 55 gal drums. When a drum is full, an audio alarm is actuated and the chemical flow is switched to an empty drum, which allows continuous operation while the full container is changed.
The ChemTech 2001 is also designed to reduce exposure to chemical fumes. The electrical compartment, chemical containers, and associated valves are continuously monitored by sensors that activate audio alarms to alert fab personnel to unsafe conditions. The system is designed to meet fire and electrical codes for operation in a hazardous Class 1, Division 1 area.
